Those with “clean” or “pure” hearts are people who are healed and who are no longer distracted by worldly things, past hurts, or addictions. Very few of us qualify. I know I don’t.
Take heart…we are also people of Hope! Brokenness is part of our human story, but salvation and healing are the point of our ongoing Divine story! It is in the choosing, in the exploration of what “free will” really looks like, that we learn what Love really is. It is the very reason God came to us in human form. Jesus shows us what that return to the arms of the Father looks like in its most extreme.
Our trials refine us if we allow them. They burn out the things that could keep us eternally from God—the things that tarnish our souls. These things cannot exist in heaven, in the realm of only Love. To one day see God as He is, we must walk life as a Calvary that is preparing us for that Joyful moment.
